our babies. We will no longer adopt to families with a big dog either outside or
inside. Too many of our pugs have been either injured or killed by large dogs that
have gotten along with them for years. We simply can not take that chance any longer.

Adoption Fees
Adoption fees range from $125.00 to $300.00 depending on the age and health of the
Pug. The fee will be discussed during the application period. The fee is in place
to cover the costs of vaccination, spay or neuter, heartworm testing and to treat
other medical issues.

Sally

Sally was picked up as a stray and taken to a local shelter. She doesn’t understand why her family never came for her. She is such a sweet and tiny girl. Sally is very happy and loving. We think she has been mistreated in the past as she will cower down when you go to pet her but once she realizes you won’t hurt her, she is all smiles. Sally probably is around five years old and can’t wait for her new life to begin.

Truman

Truman is having a rough time. He is six years old and his momma died. The family just left him at home for animal control to pick up. The poor guy is suffering from some skin problems probably brought on by the loss of his momma and being left alone. We are treating Truman’s skin issues and he will soon be feeling so much better. Truman is hoping some loving family will see how much love he has to give and will help him get over his loss and live the good life again.

Aiko
|
|
|
Aiko is a sweet little guy who is three and a half years old. Aiko was in a shelter
and although his sisters all got adopted he was left behind. He was finally adopted
by a kind lady, but it became too much to give the attention Aiko needed and tend
to a new human baby also. You see Aiko is not like most pugs. He was born with his
elbows fused to the surrounding bones so his front legs are permanently bent. He
doesn’t know he is disabled and is a funny little guy that is looking for that special
home that will look past his slight imperfection and see his true spirit. Aiko doesn’t
walk like normal pugs but does manage to get around. We are looking into the possibility
of a cart made exclusively for dogs with front leg impairments. This will be quite
costly so any donations for his care would be greatly appreciated. We think Aiko
deserves some wheels so he can chase squirrels and run after a ball like other puggies
his age. Aiko has lots of love to give and is hoping some family will see how special

Audrey is less than a year old and is small and funny. It is possible she has a bit of terrier in her but is too cute for words. Axle is only a year and a half old and is a very handsome boy. He was relinquished to us by his second owner. It appears Axle’s first home was not a good one. We can tell that he has had a hard life already and was most likely in a puppy mill. Axle was lucky that he couldn’t produce puppies or we are sure he would have had a life of sheer misery. You can see by his worried face when these pictures were taken, that he wasn’t sure he was safe yet. He has now learned to play and is having fun with his foster pug brother. Blitzen is a very sweet, lovable 8 year old girl who was surrendered to the animal shelter because she lost her companion and was depressed and so her owner surrendered her! Blitzen wants nothing else then to be with you and love you. She is on the fluffy side but other than being slightly overweight and having an old eye ulcer, she is perfectly healthy.

Boomer and Dhandy are just the cutest Mother and Son pair. Dhandy is six years old and Boomer is four. Dhandy is content to sit on your lap and be loved on Boomer likes to be right there by your side or at your feet. They both love to lay on you and get belly rubs. Boomer is quite vocal when playing or when you first get home. They are active and playful and just a very sweet pair. Cookie is a darling girl that is around six years old. She was dumped and was found running in the streets. She is such a good girl and just needs a family to love her forever. She will also need eye drops on a daily basis. Cookie also has some allergies but we have her on some meds and good food both of which seem to be helping her.

Cooper is the cutest little guy and is only four or five months old. He found himself in a local shelter and wondered why anyone would put him there. Lucky for him, he came to us and is doing great. Don Vito

|
Don Vito is a precious little guy that just turned one in April. His daddy is helping
protect our country in Iraq and there was just no time for Vito with two small children
to take care of by mommy. He is the sweetest little guy and just loves to be held
or play with his rubber piggy or suck on his stuffed beaver. He is so wrinkled he
looks like a Sharpei but is 100% pug. Even his little feet are wrinkled. Vito is
such a love and will make some lucky family a wonderful addition. For a youngster
he is very mellow and laid back. He gets along great with all his foster brothers
and sisters and even went to a pug meet up the other day and did fine. He is still
a bit confused with his new surroundings so we are hoping he can be placed quickly

UPDATE
Don Vito has been a very sick little boy. Two weeks after we got him he started
showing neurological symptoms and was immediately rushed to the vet. All his liver
values were off the charts and it was determined he had a liver shunt. He spent
a week in the hospital trying to get his seizures under control, receiving IV fluids
and meds. He finally got to come home but because of his liver not functioning he
is blind. He was strong enough for surgery in late December and although he has
come a long way, we don’t know if we will ever see the puppy he once was. As you
can imagine, his vet bills are extensive and he sure could sure use some pug angels
to help out. We will continue to evaluate him and determine if and when he might
be ready to be adopted.

Evelyn

Evelyn was found wandering around on a really hot day. When she was taken to the vet, they immediately recognized her. Evelyn belonged to an elderly lady in town who could no longer care for her. She was adopted out several times, only to be turned out on the streets again. So, we were called to take her in and find her the home that she deserves. Her exact age is uncertain - she is probably about 4 to 6 years old. She has had multiple liters of puppies thus leaving her with an inguinal hernia. She also has dry eye and will need daily drops to keep her eyes moistened. She is not blind - but will need daily drops. She gets along wonderfully with the other pugs in her foster home and along with cats. She loves to sleep under the covers and has only had 2 accidents in her foster home. She is not fond of being crated but will tolerate it when necessary. She is a very sweet girl who needs to find a permanent home. Don’t you think she has been bounced around enough? Frannie is a special little old gal that is definitely in her senior years. She
is most likely at least ten years old with lots of spirit left. She is shy at first
but when she settles in, likes to follow you around and hang out in the evenings

from anyone, although she gets along with all of her foster brothers and sisters.

This precious boy was dumped with his brother Oliver in a drainage ditch behind a shelter. Levi is so thin that you can count every rib. We don’t think he would have lasted much longer on his own. He is just the sweetest boy and is making up for lost time, eating like a little piggie. Levi does have one tiny eye that he can’t see out of but he is coming out of his shell and is starting to play with toys. Although he would love to be placed with his brother, we think he would do well as long as he had a fur brother or sister to cuddle with when no one is home. Rascal is a 6 year old boy that came to us because his mommy went into an assisted living center and unfortunately had to give him up because she kept tripping over him with her walker and they were afraid she would fall and break her hip. Rascal was living in an abandoned house all by himself with no other animals or human companionship for over 6 weeks before we could get him into rescue. He was very sad and lonely. He had no idea what had happened to his home and mommy. Rascal is one of the sweetest gentlemen you will ever meet. He has some skin issues right now that we are treating him for and in no time he will be beautiful and looking for his forever home.

Scooter

Scooter was a stray, but there is reason to believe otherwise. Scooter wasn’t given much hope – he had a severe head infection with mucus coming out of his nose. He was covered in thousands of fleas and both eyes are extremely infected. He may end up loosing one of his eyes. He couldn’t walk. Numerous people stated to just put him down. His current foster mom saw something in him and just could not do it. He started to wag his tail – she knew that he had the will to survive. She took him home and has been giving him antibiotics to help with his infections. He is starting to show improvement. She states that he just wants to be where you are and be loved. He is very calm, quiet and gets along great with the other dogs in her home. It is a miracle that Scooter is still with us. Scooter is very young – probably no more than 2 at the very most. He needs a home to let him know that there are good people in this world who would love to give him a forever home and shower him with love, affection and never let him feel abandoned again.

UPDATE, words from her foster: She is so sweet, just like a little baby.. She loves to be held and

Marilyn is cute as a button and five months old. A nice family took her from a bad situation and turned her over to rescue. She is playful and funny and gets along great with her foster siblings who refuse to play with her. She keeps trying though and would love a small furry playmate of her own. She actually posed for pictures!! Most puppies run from the camera, but not Marilyn. She seems to think she is quite photogenic. J We think so too and hope her forever home finds her soon. She is eager to begin her next adventure in life.

Is a super sweet guy that loves to snuggle. He’s a good bed buddy and sleeps well in bed with his foster parents and foster sisters and brothers. He gets along very well with his foster sisters and brothers. He has good house manners and hasn’t lifted his leg in the house for several months. He definitely wants to be where you are, so be careful when you go out a door because he will dash through it no matter how careful you are trying to be.

Louie is a senior that has had a rough life. He was found in a shelter and was rescued at the last minute. Louie had heartworms and has successfully completed heartworm treatment. Louie is a little guy with a big attitude. Nothing stops him when he wants to get somewhere. At times his legs get going so fast he topples over, but just gets up and going again. Louie has lots of spunk and is a joy to have around. He will make you smile and will add lots of love to some lucky family. He just wants someone to love in his twilight years that will take care of him and show him that even though he is old he is special. If you have never considered a senior you have no idea what you are missing. These old puggies have so much wisdom and love to give. Sanford

Sanford was in the Tulsa animal shelter and didn’t understand why he was put there. We can’t understand it either. Sanford is a sweetheart, very well mannered and smart. He is crate trained and loves to be around people. He is another small pug of about fourteen pounds and is the perfect lap size for cozy nights on the sofa watching T.V. with his new family. He is timid when you reach for him but loves to be held. Sanford loves to wear his sweater when it is cold. He loves to run when the weather is nice and he can spend more time outside. Sanford is funny, sweet and energetic, but a bit timid when he is outside of his crate. Because Sanford is a bit fearful, we will not place him in a home with children six and under. Sanford is most likely three to five years old and has lots of years left to enjoy a loving family.

Mason

Mason is between three and five years old and was in a local shelter with his eye literally hanging out. His eye was removed and he feels so much better. Unfortunately Mason tested positive for heartworms and will undergo treatment in a couple of weeks. Mason is a gentle boy who is looking for a quite environment to recuperate in. He is a beautiful golden color and will make some lucky family the perfect companion.

Pistol lives up to his name. He is one of our sweet seniors but will keep you entertained. Usually his little tongue sticks out the side and he loves to lick the other dogs. Pistol was in a shelter and luckily the personnel called rescue. Just look at that face!! Adopting a senior can add so much joy to a home and Pistol is confident that someone will give him a loving home to spend his twilight years in.

Pugsley is the sweetest senior ever. He likes to play and then will take a nice
nap. He gets along great with his younger foster sister and brother and is a complete
joy to have around. Pugsley has heartworms from being left outside and not on HW
preventative. We will be treating him the end of May and he will be ready to recuperate
quietly with his new family. Puglsey deserves to have a home of his own and be treated
