Please Help.

ImportantJust a few words about our babies. We will no longer adopt to families with a big dog either outside or inside. Too many of our pugs have been either injured or killed by large dogs that have gotten along with them for years. We simply can not take that chance any longer. If you have any questions, contact us for more information.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees range from $200.00 to $300.00 depending on the age and health of the Pug. The fee will be discussed during the application period. The fee is in place to cover the costs of vaccination, spay or neuter, heartworm testing and to treat other medical issues.

Ziggy

Ziggy is an adorable seven month old Schnug (Schnauzer/Pug). His mommy was a Pug and daddy a Schnauzer. Ziggy is 17 pounds of puppy energy and is so loving and sweet. He loves to play and when tired will cuddle with you. We don't know why he is still available. He is cute as a bug and a very good boy. Ziggy is hoping his forever family finds him soon so he can start his wonderful new life. His brothers and sisters have been adopted and he is so wanting a home of his own. Ziggy would do well with an active family with kids or another small dog to play with. Please consider giving this sweet boy a family to love.

If you would like to adopt Ziggy, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Sheba
Sheba

Sheba is a darling two year old Pug with a bit of Chihuahua in her. Her daddy had to move in with a family member and couldn't bring her. Sheba was very pregnant when we got her and the next day delivered three adorable babies. Sheba was the best mom ever and very protective of her pups. We quickly learned that Sheba had severe separation anxiety and had to have her human in sight at all times. Her foster mom and dad have worked hard to modify her behavior and Sheba has calmed down and is able to be left alone while they work. Sheba would love a home where she is queen and her human is home a lot. She will do fine with a laid back male. Sheba loves to play and is very sweet and cuddly. She is hoping her forever family finds her sound. She has lots and lots of love and sweet kisses to give some lucky family.

If you would like to adopt Sheba, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Lily
Lily

My name is Lily, I am seven years young and my foster mom says I am near to perfection. I am a very sweet, loving young lady who minds very well. I love to go on two mile walks, something not typical for others of my breed. I get so excited when I see my leash come out that I cry with happiness. I also like to "talk" when I see my food and get a little pug crazy. One of my favorite things to do is go to the dog park and hang with the big dogs. I run and play with the dogs and love to meet new people. I consider everyone my friend. I enjoy playing tug-of-war with my foster sister and if strangers approach my home I am a very good guard dog. I am crate trained and have excellent house manners. I know how to shake and give kisses, and love car rides and will ride on the lawnmower just to be near my foster mom. I have lots of energy for my age and would love an active family to share my life with. I had very bad skin allergies when I came in and my fur is growing in slowly. My foster mom dresses me up with adorable clothes and I really like strutting my stuff in a pretty dress. I am going to make someone a wonderful addition if I do say so myself. Just be prepared to shower me with lots of love because that is what I am used to at my foster home. I am eager and ready to start my new life as a pampered princess.

If you would like to adopt Lily, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Maggie
Maggie

Have you been looking for the perfect pug? If so, look no further as Maggie is pretty darn close. She is a sweet six year old that was well loved and taken care of. She is used to being the only dog but really needs the companionship of another. Although a bit shy at first, she gets along great with her fur foster siblings. Maggie is housebroken, well mannered and very loving! She is a bit on the fluffy side so we are working on getting her girlish figure back. Maggie had been living in an apartment and is really enjoying the yard and the freedom to run around and explore.

If you would like to adopt Maggie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Hailey and Howard are two sweet seniors that are completely bonded. They are between ten and twelve years old and are absolutely precious. They are smart, well mannered and completely housebroken. They are looking for another forever home that will love them as a couple.

Hailey is a petite girl, and loves to be with her human. She is the sweetest girl ever and gets along well with her foster fur siblings, including the kitties.

Howard is around twelve but still young at heart and sweet as can be. He has great house manners and will even wait to be invited on the sofa to lay with you.

If you would like to adopt Hailey and Howard, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Star
Star

Star is a sweet senior that had to be surrendered by her family when the children developed allergies. Star had to live outside with her Schnauzer brother who picked on her. The family called us because they realized it wasn't fair to Star not to live inside and be loved on. Star is working on getting her girlish figure back. According to her foster mom Star is indeed a twinkling star. She is looking for a lap to call her own. Star is around eight years old with lots of years left to love her forever family. Star doesn't hear much if anything but is doing well with sign language. Star does have some quirks such as spinning and acting goofy for a bit but we are working on this. Please consider giving this furry treasure a home to call her own. She deserves another chance to be a part of a family who will love her as we do.

If you would like to adopt Star, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Sparky was living in the country with several other dogs and cats. The Rottie was terrorizing him and he came here to be safe. He is a year old and just an overload of cuteness!! Sparky is a pug Wannabe but don't tell him that. He prefers to think of himself as a pug. He loves to play and follow his human everywhere. He sticks to his foster mom like Velcro and even listens to her when she speaks. He gets along great with his foster fur siblings and even likes cats. For some reason every picture we took he felt a need to show off his toofers. Sparky has the pug head tilt down and is just a silly little guy. Olaf

Sven

Meet the Schnugs!! Our sweet pug Luna gave birth on February 26 to eight little Schnugs. Their daddy was a Schnauzer and as you can see they took after daddy but all have curly tails and dark faces. They will get their last shots soon and their neuters and be ready to meet their new families. Please consider giving one a home. They are playful and all very sweet babies.

Sven is the biggest cuddler of the litter. He loves to be held and thrives on attention. Olaf is the biggest character of the litter for sure. He is the largest pup with the biggest personality. Hans was not having anything to do with picture day! He is the smallest boy with a huge heart. He is the perfect blend of playful puppy and cuddle bug.

If you would like to adopt Schnug Family, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Weezie
Weezie

Weezie is between two and three years old and was abandoned by her family. How sad that this sweet girl was left to fend for herself all alone before she was rescued. It didn't take long for Weezie to make herself at home. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl. She likes to sit on your lap or be right by your side. When she came to us her skin was in bad shape due to the ticks that were on her. We are treating her skin condition and she is on meds right now but will be good as new in no time. Weezie gets along with the other dogs and even the cat at her foster home. But she can be food aggressive and has to be fed separately from any other dogs. For this reason she is not be a good choice for a home with young children who drop food and wants to give treats with other dogs around. Wheezie feels great and runs around wagging her tail all the time. She hardly ever barks and appears to be very well house trained. She has had at least one litter of puppies but all that is behind her. Please consider giving this girl a forever home. She will make some lucky family the perfect companion.

If you would like to adopt Weezie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Sweetpea gets along great with her foster fur siblings and likes to play when the mood strikes her. She is just as content hanging out with her human and watching TV. Sweetpea is undergoing heartworm treatment and will be ready to meet her new family late July or early August. She is the perfect age and will make some lucky family an awesome companion. Sweetpea has lots of love and kisses to give and can't wait to have her own forever home.

If you would like to adopt Sweetpea, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Pattycake
Pattycake

Pattycake was found wandering down a country road. We suspect she was dumped and homeless. She is most likely around four years old and her right eye had been removed when we got her and has obviously had puppies in her life. She is small, only sixteen pounds and can probably lose a pound or two. Pattycake is missing several teeth and tested a very light positive for heartworms. She will be treated and be good to go soon. She loves people and gets along with the cats. She likes to be in your lap or at your feet. She is the slowest eater of any pug we have seen! Pattycake is very well house trained and will scratch at the door when she needs to go out. She is a happy girl and has her tail curled all the time. She seems to have taken a dislike to the Frenchie in her foster home but gets along with the pugs. She would prefer to be the only Queen in her castle but would be fine with another laid back pug.

If you would like to adopt Pattycake, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Maizie
Maizie

Maizie is around six years old and a little doll. She was in a local shelter hoping her family would come for her but that didn't happen. She is very petite and loves everyone she meets. She gets along great with her foster fur siblings and is as cute as can be. Maizie loves to be with you and is happy to be included in all that is going on in her home. Maizie is doing great on her house manners and is a joy to have around. She is hoping her new family reads her story and falls in love. Maizie can't wait to start her new life in a loving home.

If you would like to adopt Maizie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Maddie
Maddie

Maddie is fourteen years old and came to us when her daddy took her to the vet to be euthanized. Her mommy is ill and her daddy is gone a lot. Her family didn't know what else to do. Luckily we were called and Maddie is now in rescue and doing great. She came to us almost 35 pounds but is losing weight and feeling much better. Maddie is blind and requires eye drops to keep her eyes moist but other than that is in good health. She gets along great with her foster fur siblings and even plays at times. She loves to wrestle with a dog bed and play with your hands. We don't know why more people don't consider a sweet senior. They are the easiest and most loving of all! We are hoping Maddie will tug at someone's heart and find her forever home where she can spend the rest of her days being loved on and giving sweet kisses.

If you would like to adopt Maddie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Daisy
Daisy

Daisy is a spunky little seven year old that was surrendered by her owners. She came into rescue with an eye injury and tested positive for heartworms. Her eye was removed and she feels so much better! Daisy will soon be treated for her heartworms and be ready to give all her love to a forever home in August. Daisy loves all adults and well behaved children over six. She prefers to be the only queen in her castle so she can get all the love and attention she deserves. She loves her humans and wants to be right by their side. Daisy loves to cuddle on the sofa and have her back scratched. She also loves to play with toys. Daisy is fully house trained and knows how to sit on command. She is crate trained and will make a great loving addition to some lucky family.

If you would like to adopt Daisy, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Daisy
Daisy

Daisy is a special little senior. She is thirteen years old and her family could no longer keep her. She loves her toys and although an older soul, she is very spunky. She loves to cuddle and sleep. She is mostly deaf but she can see enough to follow her human everywhere. Daisy is very loyal and loving and gets along great with her foster fur siblings including the cat. She can be a bit protective over her food and she loves treats. Daisy will need help getting on the bed and sofa and down again but that doesn't slow her down much. Daisy is being treated for heartworms and will be ready to meet her new family in August. Please consider giving this sweet senior a forever home to spend her twilight years in. She is a jewel!

If you would like to adopt Daisy, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Bentley
Bentley

Bentley has been adopted and lives in Ft Sill OK with his new family and Pug sister.

Milo
Milo

Milo is a sweet six year old that came into rescue when his daddy had to go into assisted living. He is old enough not to do puppy things and young enough to be spunky and fun! He gets along great with his 90 pound lab foster sister and even shares his toys with her. It is obvious that Milo was very loved by his former daddy and he loves everyone he meets, and always greets them with hugs and kisses. He only barks at the vacuum cleaner! Milo doesn't mind sleeping in his crate while his foster mom sleeps or is not home. Milo is a smart cookie who knows to "sit" and "stay". Unfortunately he was not kept on heartworm preventative and is being treated for heartworms. Milo is a precious young man who has always been and will continue to be a loving companion for some lucky family. He will be ready to meet his new family in July.

If you would like to adopt Milo, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Tyrion
Tyrion

Tyrion is between two and three years old and 13 pounds of sweetness. He was found in a parking lot and was taken in by a loving family. He was very dirty, had cracked ears and was hungry. He has adjusted well to being inside and loves people. He has become great friends with our foster's Chiweenie and plays well with other dogs. He has visited dog parks and numerous stores that allow dogs and soaks up the attention. He absolutely loves tennis balls!! He will continue to chase them if you continue to throw them. Tyrion is going to make a great companion for some lucky family. He loves children of all ages and likes to be petted and touched with gentle hands. He has a bit of separation anxiety so might do well with another fur companion to keep him company when his humans aren't home. He has gotten much better after realizing that his humans will come home again if they leave. He is working on house manners and doing very well as long as he is let out with consistency. Most likely Tyrion was left outside in his former home but he is a quick learner and wants to please. Tyrion has come a long way in a short period of time. We don't think he had ever been cuddled or hugged and used to be very nervous about being loved on, but his friend the Chiweenie has taught him that humans can be kind and loving. He will now lay next to you and enjoy a nice warm blanket. Please consider giving this little guy the home he deserves. He is a very sweet boy.

If you would like to adopt Tyrion, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Callie
Callie

Callie is between two and four years of age and was in a local shelter. She has a slight limp which could be due to an old injury but it doesn't stop her from running and playing with toys. Her favorite game is playing tug-og-war with her foster family. This little girl loves to cuddle and give kisses. She is housebroken and gets along great with her foster fur siblings. Callie is a sweet and sunny little lady and deserves a great home!! She has lots of love to give some lucky family.

If you would like to adopt Callie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Todd
Todd

Todd is a beautiful nine year old brindle boy. He is blind but refuses to feel sorry for himself and has learned to navigate the house and yard at his foster home. He was rescued from a lifetime of being used for breeding and lining the pockets of those who bred him over and over again. He was found in a home with several other dogs that had been picking on him for weeks. He had several sores and bite marks on him when rescued. We were told he didn't get along with other dogs, but in fact it was the other dogs in the home that were beating up on him and Todd had to fight for his life and any food that he could get. The other dogs had bitten his neck and ears and let him get very little food. Consequently he was skin and bones when we got him. Todd loves to be held and pampered and loves his foster fur siblings and even the cats! Todd has finished his meds and is working on gaining weight so he can be neutered and get a much needed dental. His sores are healed and his fur is growing back where he had been bitten. He will soon be ready to meet his forever family and be a loving companion.

If you would like to adopt Todd, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Teddy
Teddy

Teddy is two and a half years old and weighs a walloping 35 pounds. Needless to say we are working on trimming him down. He was surrendered by his family when they no longer could care for him. Just look at that adorable underbite!! Teddy loves all humans, dogs and even the cats. Teddy didn't receive the best of care in his former home and tested positive for heartworms. We will begin treatment in May and he will be ready to meet his forever family in June. Teddy has lots of love to give some lucky family and is eager to start his new life

If you would like to adopt Teddy, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Susie
Susie

Susie is of one of the pugs that came in with ten others from a breeder release. This sweet soul had little or no human contact in her short four years on this earth. Needless to say, she doesn't have much faith in the human race. Her first foster didn't have any other puggie friends for her to learn from. When she came to her second foster's home, she had a pug brother and sister to show her the ropes. She is still very timid with humans but is slowly learning to trust her foster momma and daddy. She tends to like dad more than mom but that is probably because the breeder was a woman and treated her badly. Susie is working on house manners but she was never trained and just lived in a cage in her own waste. She is slowly learning that outside is where to go potty. She will sleep next to daddy all night and never moves from her spot. Susie needs a calm and quiet home with at least one other small dog to give her confidence and show her the rules. Susie most likely will not do well with young children as they will scare her. Puppy mill babies need lots of patience and love but the rewards of helping them are many. Some day Susie will become the pug she was always meant to be and make a wonderful companion. Please give Susie the home she never had but so deserves.

If you would like to adopt Susie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Pyper
Pyper

Pyper has been adopted and lives in OKC with her new family.

Lily
Lily

Lily is between three and four years old and her family could no longer keep her. She was well loved but didn't get proper medical care. She has what is called dry eye and will need daily eye drops to help lubricate her eyes. The drops are easy to administer and although she doesn't see great, she gets around just fine. Lily loves to roam around outside and learned the dog door in record breaking speed. Right now she is chubby and is on a diet. She will soon have her girlish figure back and feel much better without the extra weight. Lily has a mild luxatting patella in one knee but it doesn't seem to bother her except to give her a slight limp at times. This condition mostly affects her ability to jump up on things so she needs assistance getting on the sofa or bed. Lily is not a high energy pug and is quite laid back. She wants nothing more but to lie on her back and get her belly rubbed. She just got a dental and is ready to meet her new family. Lily is just a joy to be with and deserves a loving home with lots of attention.

If you would like to adopt Lily, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Baxter

Baxter was found wandering the streets of a small town. He is a wonderful little guy and gets along with the other pugs in his foster home. He warmed right up to his foster parents, loves people and is a talker. He seems to love car rides and was the perfect little passenger. Baxter is ready to meet his new family that will always protect and not let him be in harm's way again.

Luna is tired with motherhood and ready to start her new life. She is a beautiful and sweet girl who loves attention and always wants to be close by. She is working on her house skills as she regressed while pregnant during the cold weather. She is doing well and if you go outside with her she will concentrate on the task at hand. Luna is pretty thin right now and is working on gaining some weight. Seven puppies takes a toll on you! She loves to eat so we are feeding her as often as she wants right now. Luna can't wait to meet her forever family and start her new life as a pampered princess.

Johnny
Johnny

Johnny is eight years old and came to rescue with ten others from a breeder release. Johnny was so scared and was huddled in the back of his cage. Until now, Johnny did NOT have a good life and was used over and over for breeding purposes only. He was covered in ticks and because of this tested positive for Erlichia. He is being treated and will be good as new in no time. Johnny is learning what love is all about and is pretty laid back now that he is settled in his foster home. He likes to be around people and other dogs and actually needs a fur companion to feel safe. He loves to lie in the bed and is getting better at walking on a leash. He doesn't bark until it is time to eat. He wants to make sure he is not forgotten at dinnertime. He loves kids and likes to be read to every night by his foster human brother. Johnny is a very sweet and gentle guy and even gets along with the kitties in his foster home. This boy deserves a forever home to call his own and be treated with love and kindness.

Just look at that happy face! Jack was so excited to get out of the shelter that he couldn't contain his happiness. He rides well in the car and loves to be where his human is. He has great house manners and gets along well with his foster fur siblings. Jack does well with well behaved kids and will make some lucky family the perfect addition.

CJ gets along great with the other pugs in is foster home and really needs a fur companion to hang out with in his new home. Sock
Sock
Sock

Sock is seven years old and came into rescue after a recent breeder release. She spent all of her life having puppies. She is a very sweet girl, but very shy as she barely had any human contact in her life prior to coming to us. She grows more self confident and friendly every day and loves to watch her foster fur sisters and brothers interact. She seems to be learning so much from them. She loves to sleep with her human and doesn't much care for her crate but will go in if necessary. Who can blame her! She was crated most of her life. Sock loves to lie on the sofa and watch television, but isn't much of a cuddler yet. Sock continues to grow more trusting of humans everyday and is looking for a forever family that will have lots of patience as she grows into the pug she was always meant to be.

If you would like to adopt Sock, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

LuLu is around three years old and was in a home with very young children. This stressed her out so we won't place her in a home with children under seven years old. LuLu is a bit high strung and skittish but is settling in well with her foster mom. She is not too fond of men and we think she probably was mistreated or yelled at by one. LuLu is quite the watch pug. She barks when someone comes to the house and growls, but is very sweet when she gets to know you. She gets along with the other dogs and even the cat in her foster home. LuLu was definitely abused by someone but is learning to love again. She is ready and eager to meet her new loving family.

If you would like to adopt LuLu, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Joseph
Joseph

Joseph was in a local shelter alone and afraid. He is between six and seven years old and is a sweet and loving fellow. Joseph is shy at first but warms up quickly and enjoys cuddling in an empty lap or laying on your chest or by your side for his naps. He enjoys playing with his foster fur siblings as well as his humans. Joseph loves to run in the backyard and chase squirrels. He is coming along nicely on his house training as long as he is taken out frequently until we learn his schedule. Joseph is crate trained and hoping to be in his forever home soon so he can start his new life with a loving family.

If you would like to adopt Joseph, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Jake and Jenna

Jenna

Jenna

Meet Jake and Jenna. They are six years old and a bonded pair. They have been together since they were two months old. Jake was headed for the show ring, but wasn't fond of being handled so he had a very early retirement. That's ok, he's happier just hanging around the house being adorable with a toy in his mouth. This boy LOVES his toys. If you say "what" Jake will talk to you. It's so cute! It's like he's telling you all about his day. Jenna was born at a shelter but was a lucky girl because her human mama worked there and grabbed her up. Jenna likes to hang out on your lap or up on the back of the couch, where she can keep an eye on things. Jake had a mast cell tumor removed over three years ago and has had no reoccurrence since. Jenna recently had one removed. Both currently have UTIs but are being treated and should be cleared up soon.

If you would like to adopt Jake and Jenna, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Duncan
Duncan

Duncan is one of our adorable seniors. He is a sweet old guy who has a secret adventurous side. Like most pugs, he very much enjoys his naps. However, when he is awake, he likes to explore the house, follow his human, look out the windows and find new napping spots. He also makes silly dinosaur sounds when the mood strikes him. He had a dental and prefers soft treats as they are easier to chew. Like a typical pug, Duncan gets very excited at meal time but stays in his own bowl and doesn't try to steal his foster brother's food. Duncan loves to be right with you but needs help getting there and on your bed where he prefers to sleep. Duncan is hoping some family will see how special he is and give him a forever home to spend his twilight years in. He is such an easy keeper and has lots of love left to give.

If you would like to adopt Duncan, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Chavez
Chavez

Hi, my name is Chavez and I came into rescue with eleven others from a breeder release. Boy and I glad to be out of that place! I am a silly three year old boy who likes to talk to you and bounce around. I like chew toys and playing outside with my foster fur siblings. I am eating like a champ and loving treats. I am learning to walk with a harness and leash and learning my house manners, as I am smart boy who aims to please. I make my foster mom, dad, and sister laugh everyday with my talking, prancing and running around outside. Sometimes I run in circles and make myself dizzy! I am looking for a forever home to shower me with love. I promise to give lots of love in return. Are you my new family?

If you would like to adopt Chavez, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Abbey Rose
Abbey Rose

Abbey Rose is everything you loved about your Grandma bottled up and transformed into a pug. Rose was busted out of jail at a local shelter, so nothing is known about her past. We suspect she has some stories to tell if she could speak. Her hearing is not what it used to be, but her sweet affection is here to stay. Rose gets along well with kids, other dogs, and her food dish. She needs assistance negotiating steps but is otherwise a self sufficient little pug. She is potty trained and enjoys a few extra minutes to explore outside but she prefers to be in a comfy bed or on your lap. It takes a loving person to adopt a senior pug. Please consider giving Ms. Rose the goldest of her golden years. She has lots of love left to give.

If you would like to adopt Abbey Rose, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Magoo
Magoo

Psst!! Over here. Aren't I the cutest thing ever? My name is Magoo and the vet thinks I am around ten years old. I'm okay with that. Age is just a number after all, right! I am living with my foster mom who gives me lots of kisses, belly rubs and massages. I am pretty sure I died and went to heaven. I wish I could live with her forever but the vet thinks I need a home with no stairs cuz I am blind. Don't think for a minute that stops me from being where I want to be. Nope! This old nose still works very well thank you and I can find my way around just fine. I'm a little worried that no one will want me cuz of this minor challenge but my foster mom tells me that there is someone special out there who is looking for me to come live with them. I think that is pretty cool, as I sure would like a forever home. Then my foster mom could help another old man like me. Are you that special person who will love me forever? I come with lots of love, kisses and snores. Gotta run, my foster mom just brought me my favorite treat! What are you waiting for? Put in your application and don't forget to ask for Tripp. I will be waiting for you!!

Tripp
Tripp

Tripp is a sweet senior bug (pug/boston). He was in a local shelter and his family never came for him. Just look at that adorable grey face!! He wants to be right my your side at all times. His daily activity includes sleep, eat and potty time. Tripp has pretty good house skills and will take care of business each time he goes out. Tripp is not a big fan of cats but gets along great with his foster pug brother. We don't think he hears very well but that just makes him a really sound sleeper. Overall, Tripp is a happy guy who is devoted to his human. Please give him another chance at a forever home to spend his retirement years in.

If you would like to adopt Tripp, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Tater
Tater

Tater is eight years old and was surrendered by his family. He is a shy boy but we know he will come out of his shell with lots of love and attention. Tater is very sweet and just wants to be loved and cared for. He is housebroken and gets along great with all his fur foster siblings. He likes to be out in the yard watching the antics of the other pugs in his foster home. He doesn't seem to be a barker and will make some family a loving and devoted companion. Please give this boy another chance to belong to a family of his own. He deserves to live a long and happy life with a forever family to call his own.

If you would like to adopt Tater, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Sheila
Sheila

Sheila is eight years old and part of the recent 21 pug breeder release. She is a sweet girl and is working on her house training. Sheila is a complete sweetheart and is blending in well at her foster family's home. She is very submissive and follows the male dog in her foster home like a shadow. I am sure she is very confused and is feeling comfort by having another dog with her. Sheila does recognize her name and comes when called. She deserves a home filled with love and attention. Her life has not been good so far, but all that is behind her. Sheila can't wait to meet her new family and start her wonderful new life.

Duke
Duke

Duke is ten years old and was taken to a shelter by family members. His mommy died and no one wanted this sweet boy. Duke has dry eye and the start of cataracts. He does get eye drops twice a day and his eyes are so much better than when we got him. He takes medication for his ears right now but they should clear up also. He is a very relaxed and easy going guy. Although Duke is not a huge cuddle bug, he does not like it when he can't see his human. He eyes aren't very good but he navigates the house well and even goes on walks. We aren't sure if he hears much or is just good at ignoring you when you call his name. Duke hopes someone is out there who will understand how hard it is to now be without his family and give him a new family to love. He is a good boy and deserves a loving home.

If you would like to adopt Duke, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Spike
Spike

Spike is eleven years old and such a sweet senior. He came to us with his brother Max after his mommy died. Spike does not know he is 11and loves to chase balls and play with his toys. He immediately tipped over the toy box and scattered toys everywhere as soon as he arrived in rescue. He is a funny guy and will keep you amused for hours. His tongue is always hanging out giving him a goofy but sweet appearance. We are hoping a family will fall in love with both Spike and his brother Max. They have so much love to give and are such easy keepers. Please consider giving two sweet seniors another loving home to call their own.

If you would like to adopt Spike, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Syd
Syd

Syd has been adopted and lives in Wichita KS with his new family and Pug siblings.

Fergie
Fergie

Fergie was in a local shelter and no one claimed her. She is between four and six years old. Whatever life she might have had before, she lets nothing stop her from enjoying life now! She seemed at home in her foster home after only an hour, and now acts as if she owns it. Fergie loves every person she meets, and is always either by your side or in your lap. Her favorite thing to do is sit out on the balcony and watch everything going on, and she loves walks and car rides. She seems to get along well with small dogs, though larger dogs intimidate her and she does not like cats. Fergie is well house trained, however because of her background she does have a tendency to mark. She has more of a snout than many pugs, which just means she can breathe better. She will be treated for heartworms and be ready to meet her new family. Please consider giving this sweet girl a new lease on life in a loving forever home. She will be a wonderful addition to any family!

UPDATE: It appears that Fergie gets very nervous in homes with young children. Because of this we do not recommend adopting to a home with children under 10 years of age.

If you would like to adopt Fergie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Brandi
Brandi

Brandi is a small pug mix that was surrendered by her family. Brandi is either mixed with Chihuahua or Pomeranian. She is almost 13 years old but still full of pep and energy. She gets along great with her foster sisters and go to her crate when it is time to go "night-night." She does have some little quirks like running in circles and barking when she is excited. Brandi does NOT like to be picked up or to have her feet off the floor. She does great on a leash and kids can lead her anywhere. Brandi doesn't have the best hearing but can hear loud noises. Reaching to pet her seems to frighten her, but if you touch her lightly, she will allow petting and wags her tail. Brandi is ready for some family to love her.

If you would like to adopt Brandi, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Humphrey
Humphrey

Humphrey was rescued from a local shelter and is around six years old. He loves to be with his human, and is a total Velcro pug. If you are standing he will sit on your feet. Humphrey has some ear and equilibrium issues that we are working on. He is absolutely adorable and loves everyone. Humphrey gets along great with all the dogs in his foster home and doesn't have one ounce of grumpy in him. He is sheer sweetness. Please consider giving this special boy a forever home to call his own.

If you would like to adopt Humphrey, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Blossom
Blossom

Blossom was in a local shelter and is between one and two years old. It appears she has a little chihuahua in her as well as pug. She gets along great with her pug foster siblings but likes to be a guard dog when starangers come in her foster home. She is protective of her family and will growl at people she doesn't know when she is in her crate. For this reason, she is not a good candidate for small children. Blossom wants so much to be loved and is looking for a dog savvy home to give all her love to. She is young and wants to please. Please consider giving this sweetie a home to call her own.

If you would like to adopt Blossom, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Franco
Franco

Franco was in a local shelter and no one came for him. He is about five years old and has not had the best of care until now. He needs to lose some weight and his vision isnít the best due to neglect. He will need to remain on eye drops but they are very easy to administer. He loves all the pugs in his foster home and enjoys being loved on. Franco is hoping someone adopts him soon so he can start his wonderful new life with a loving family.

If you would like to adopt Franco, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Marilyn
Marilyn

Marilyn will be 12 in October and was surrendered by her family. The new baby made her nervous but Marilyn is as sweet as can be. She loves to follow you around and although she is a big girl she doesn't mind being in your lap. Marilyn is on a diet to regain her girlish figure so measuring her food intake is a must. She is a laid back girl but has moments when she will play with a toy, although she loses interest fast. She knows how to use a dog door and loves to sleep with her human if she can. It is hard to lose your family after 11 years but she has adjusted well and is hoping there is someone out there that would love to give this sweet senior a forever home. She is a very easy keeper but you must go out with her when she needs to potty. She doesn't like to be alone. Marilyn would prefer to be the only queen in her castle.

If you would like to adopt Marilyn, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Frank
Frank

Frank is a sweet boy between three and five years old. When he first came into rescue he was so stressed and wouldn't let many people touch him especially around his neck. We soon discovered scabs in that area from old wounds. We think he may have been hurt by a larger dog as he doesn't like them much. Frank enjoys snuggling and sitting on laps for petting. He knows his name and is very good at come-when-called. He has no problem with cats and he loves other girl dogs that are of his stature and sweet. Frank is a pug who wants to be social and like to go everywhere with his human. He is currently being fostered by Sydney Head, owner of full Circle Obedience School in OKC. If Frank is adopted locally, he will come with 2 free one hour private lessons and 12 weeks of free group classes!! Sidney is a firm believer that training helps strengthen the bond between owner and companion and helps prevent behavioral issues in the future. Frank is eager and ready to meet his new family and would do best in a home with no children under ten.

If you would like to adopt Frank, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Ethel
Ethel

Ethel is a sweet senior that was a stray in a local shelter. When she came in to the shelter, she appeared okay but by the time she spent her three day hold and we got her out, she could barely stand. We rushed her to our vet and they thought she was in kidney failure. After extensive blood work it was determined Ethel is diabetic and was close to death because she wouldn't eat and had no insulin for several days. She was given fluids and insulin and her blood sugar started to regulate. Ethel will need insulin twice a day but that is very easy to administer. She is blind due to her diabetes but gets around great. How cruel it is to leave an elderly blind pug out on her own to die. Ethel is now happy and doing great in her foster home. Ethel is hoping some kind family will see the love in her eyes and the hope that she will find a forever home that will love her. Adopting a senior is the essence of rescue. Please give this sweet girl another chance at the wonderful life she so deserves.

If you would like to adopt Ethel, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Eddie
Eddie

Eddie was surrendered by his family. He has some allergy issues and his family no longer had time to tend to his needs. He does take daily eye drops and although on meds right now, he is not scratching and his coat is nice and shiny and healthy. Eddie is very active for a seven year old. He loves to chase a ball and if a ball isn't available he will chase anything you toss. If his ball gets under the furniture he will let you know to go retrieve it. Eddie will keep you amused for hours. He is very sweet and lovable and gets along great with the other pugs in his foster home. Eddie loves to snuggle next to you at night and sleep with his human. Eddie can't wait to meet his new family.

If you would like to adopt Eddie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Sunshine
Sunshine
Sunshine

Sunshine is one of three pugs and a mix seized due to deplorable conditions. She had to stay for over three months in a shelter before being able to be released to us. Sunshine is ten years old and as you can see has not missed a meal. It might not have been very good food but somehow she got more than her share. Needless to say she is on a diet to regain her girlish figure. She had a bad ear infection and a permanent head tilt along with being weak in the rear end. She is such a sweet girl and so deserving of a wonderful home of her home. If you meet Sunshine she will steal your heart.

If you would like to adopt Sunshine, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Shea
Shea

Shea is a happy senior that came into rescue when her family no longer wanted her because she is "old." Shea does have the normal senior back end issues but is getting treatments from a doggie chiropractor. We think Shea has lots of years left to enjoy life with a loving family. Adopting a senior is a selfless act of love. Please consider giving this sweet girl a home to call her own for the rest of her life.

If you would like to adopt Shea, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Dakota
Dakota

Dakota is around eight years old and was surrendered by his owner. This sweet senior spent his entire life in a garage. Because of neglect, he has dry eye and will need drops in his eyes forever. The drops are no big deal and easy to administer. Dakota sees very little but we think he sees shadows. Even with his limited vision, he navigates the house and yard really well once he gets his bearings. Dakota is a sweet boy who is deserving to spend his twilight years in a loving home.

If you would like to adopt Dakota, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Snookie
Snookie

Snookie

Snookie was a stray that was rescued from a small town in OK. We thought she had been hit by a car but it appears she has one bad knee that makes her walk a bit "funny". Snookie takes drops for dry eye and her vision isn't that great but she navigates around the house and yard very well. She is a sweet girl that loves to hang out and sleep with her human. Snookie gets along great with her foster pug brothers and sisters and is a loving girl. She may not be the prettiest pug on the planet but she has a beautiful spirit and is such a sweetheart. Snookie can't wait to meet her new family!

If you would like to adopt Snookie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Sammie
Sammie

Sammie is a handsome five year old boy. He takes medication twice a day to control seizures. If he stays on his meds he is seizure free. Sammie was with us for almost a year and then was adopted. We thought we had found the perfect home for him but that wasn't the case. He was recently returned to us for no reason of his own. Sammie is one of the sweetest, most gentle boys we have ever had. He loves to be next to you on the sofa and he loves to give kisses. He is so deserving of a family of his own to love and we can't understand why he is back. Sammie just had a dental. He had some infected teeth and feels so much better and his kisses no longer knock you over. Sammie needs a quiet and peaceful environment to call his own and a family that will never turn their back on him again and will love him forever.

If you would like to adopt Sammie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.
