ImportantJust a few words about our babies. We will no longer adopt to families with a big dog either outside or inside. Too many of our pugs have been either injured or killed by large dogs that have gotten along with them for years. We simply can not take that chance any longer. If you have any questions, contact us for more information.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees are: 300.00 up to 3 years
275.00 3 years up to 6 years
250.00 7 years to 9 years
(fee can vary depending on age and health conditions)

The fee will be discussed during the application period. The fee is in place to cover the costs of vaccination, spay or neuter, heartworm testing and to treat other medical issues.

Henry
Henry

Henry is most likely between six and eight years old and was abandoned in an apartment by his family. Luckily Henry is such a sweet and loving boy that he adapted quickly to love and attention. Henry does like to have a light on when he sleeps and will attach himself to his human and give hugs. He loves car rides but doesn't much like being left alone. He needs a fur sibling and/or someone that is home most of the time. Henry is looking for a forever home that will never abandon him again. He has so much love to give some lucky family!

If you would like to adopt Henry, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Yumi
Yumi

Yumi is a sweet senior that is eleven years old. When she came to us she was very sick with bladder stones. We did emergency surgery and she came through with flying colors. Yumi is also blind, but that doesn't stop her from getting to where she needs to go. She will actually go to the door to be let out to potty. She is housetrained and loves to snuggle with her humans. She sleeps through the night and is just a complete joy to have around. Because Yumi is blind, it is best that she not be in a home with very young children as they tend to startle her. Yumi has her paws crossed that there is a wonderful home just waiting for her!! She is indeed a treasure.

If you would like to adopt Yumi, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Paris
Paris

Age is just a number when it comes to Paris, a tiny 10 year old girl with energy that could make even a puppy tired! Whether you are watching a movie, taking a nap, or doing errands around the house, she will be sitting on your lap or waiting for an opportunity to cuddle. No toys that squeak will be safe from this playful girl. Paris would love to be an only fur child but does get along great with her foster fur siblings. She does want to share a bed with her human and loves being under the covers or wrapped in a blanket when sleeping. Please consider adding this spunky black girl to your family. She will make the perfect new addition!!

If you would like to adopt Paris, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Dory
Dory

Dory is approximately ten years old and a sweet girl. She prefers to be the only fur child but will tolerate a fur sibling. Dory does like all the attention and loves to be petted. If you would like to adopt Dory, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Ginny
Ginny

Ginny is a 10 year old fawn female that was surrendered to a shelter due to health issues. She has finished her heart worm treatments and is doing great. She has already put on some weight, but she probably needs to gain a few more pounds. Ginny eats well and will accept just about any treat she is offered. She does need her food watered down, or she will walk away from it if it gets too dry. Ginny loves to play with toys, balls, and nylabones, but she does not like to share. She gets along well with her foster fur siblings, but she will growl at them if they get near a toy she has in her mouth. Ginny is affectionate and loves to be petted and sometimes she will roll over on her back for a belly rub. Ginny likes to snuggle up to her human in bed when she sleeps at night and likes to be where her human or foster siblings are. Ginny is housebroken and crate trained. She does need to go out on a regular basis (every two to three hours) to make sure she doesn't have any accidents in the house. Although Ginny gets along with her other fur foster siblings, she doesn't take any guff from them if one starts something. Ginny is hoping to find a forever home soon. She has lots of love left to give.

If you would like to adopt Ginny, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Sasha

Sasha is a thirteen year old black girl that had to be surrendered by her family. She came in with her brother Louie but it appears she can be separated from him. They don't have much to do with each other but I am sure she would like a fur companion. Sasha is spunky and doesn't act her age at all. Although she has a bit of arthritis, she gets around great. Sasha is potty trained and can't wait to meet her new family. Please consider giving this sweet girl a loving home to live the rest of her life in. Seniors are the best!

If you would like to adopt Sasha, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Although Buggy doesn't hear and his one eye doesn't work as well as it used to, he is very good at familiarizing himself with his surroundings and isn't even afraid to go down stairs. Buggy comes when called and is a very resilient guy who enjoys life and gets along great with humans and animals alike. Please consider giving this sweet boy a forever home to live the rest of his life in. He has so much love left to give!

He also has dry eyes and requires daily drops which are easy to administer. Festus loves to play with squeaky toys, balls and enjoys nylabones. He gets along great with his foster fur siblings and loves to cuddle with his human, at times rolling on his back for a belly rub. If you close a door behind you, he will scratch on the door to get to you. Festus is still working on his house manners but is doing much better. It is best to be outside with him to be sure he goes potty. Festus doesn't mind a crate but enjoys sleeping with his human and at times will get under the covers. He is a sweet boy and is hoping his new forever home will soon be found. Festus has lots of love to give some lucky family.

If you would like to adopt Festus, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Bronson
Bronson

Bronson is around six years old and one of the sweetest pugs ever. He does have some back end issues which prevent him from always knowing when he needs to potty but . . . it is not a huge problem. He walks a little funny but gets around great. Bronson does well with the other pugs in his foster home and is a very happy boy. He has a favorite toy that he loves to play with and is just a joy to have around. It is sad that no one wants to give such a loving boy a home because of a small disability. Bronson has so much love to give and is hoping some family will see how special he is. Please consider opening your heart and home to this amazing little guy.

If you would like to adopt Bronson, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle and give hugs when you hold her! Chloe does have some senior health issues. We think she sees shadows but that is all. She does require drops at least twice a day. She gets around extremely well, once she knows her surroundings. Chloe has back end issues and doesn't know when she needs to go potty so would require a home with someone home most of the day. Because of her issues, she needs a family that is patient and gentle with her. She is a special lady that has so much to offer to a special loving family. Please consider giving this precious pug a wonderful rest of her life!

Tank is housebroken and will go to the door and let you know he needs to go out. He really enjoys being outside to explore and enjoy the weather when it is nice. As any old man, Tank enjoys his naps. She gets along great with everyone, humans and furry friends alike. Kiley has so much love to give and great house manners if you pay attention to her and notice when she needs to go out. She loves to roam the yard and enjoy the flowers. Adopting a senior can be the most rewarding adoption of all. They have so much love to give and are such easy keepers. If you would like to adopt Kiley, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Rosie
Rosie

Rosie was left in a box inside a small rescue in Arkansas. She was dumped on a busy highway and a good Samaritan put her in a box and placed her inside the gate of the rescue. You see Rosie is blind so she didn't move out of that box. She was also terrified and waited for someone to help her. She was so very shy at first and still is wary of strangers and touch. But she is learning to be a true pug and will now zoom around the yard and be silly. It is such a joy to see her like this!! Rosie doesn't know she is blind so she just goes on acting as though she has sight. I do think she might see shadows as she rarely bumps into anything. Rosie has touched many hearts and we are looking for a very very special home for her. The perfect family will be patient, loving, kind and treat Rosie like a princess. Our little apricot pug in a box, deserves nothing but the best in life.

If you would like to adopt Rosie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Angel
Angel

Hi, my name is Angel, I'm around 10 years old but we pugs are not great at counting so I could be off a year or two. I just had a dental and now my teeth are sparkling clean. . I still love eating hard and soft food . I have a bad back hip so I do not do stairs really well and I don't move very fast but I love spending time in the yard smelling new smells and following the chickens around. I'm not extremely active and love lying around on my bed. I like playing with my foster brothers and sisters and get along with them great. It is better if I eat alone because sometimes I think they want to take my food. I do have accidents in the house sometimes, mainly of the stinky type, but my foster parents say they are very easy to clean up. With my age sometimes I just can't hold it. Overall I am in good health and I can't wait to find my forever home as I still have a lot of love to give.

If you would like to adopt Angel, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Ike
Ike

Ike is a very handsome lad around five years old. He had been living outside most of his life sometimes without food or water. He loves to play with his people and his foster fur sisters and brothers. He likes to go for car rides and walks and even gets along with the kitties. Ike is such a clown and cracks his foster family up all the time. He has no problem going into his crate and when called he will go right to it. Ike has great house manners but he does need to wear a belly band when he sleeps as he has a birth defect that causes him to "leak" a little when he sleeps for long periods of time. You see although Ike was listed as a boy he also had female organs and had to have reconstructive surgery. He now urinates like a girl and is doing quite well. His foster mom says this is no big deal and he doesn't leak during the day when out and about. Ike is lots of fun and is eager to meet his forever family!

If you would like to adopt Ike, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Cookie

Cookie came in with two others and was used all of her seven years for breeding. She is dangerously overweight but has lost some pounds all ready just by feeding good food and monitoring portions. She is a sweet girl and gets along great with her foster sisters. She is hoping a loving family will adopt her and let her be the pug she was always meant to be. Her forever home would have to continue her weight loss program so she can get healthy and breathe easier. Cookie is feeling the love and wants to share her love with a family that will love and take care of her forever.

If you would like to adopt Cookie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Peanut
Peanut

Peanut is seven years old and has been having puppies all her life. When she came to us she was over 32 pounds and is now down to less than thirty. She continues to lose and will soon have her pretty puggy figure back. Peanut was never socialized so is learning what being a pug is all about. She is starting to look at toys but not sure what to do with them. She does love nylabones and balls! The longer she is with us, the bigger lover she becomes. Peanut loves attention but is still pretty shy with people she doesn't know. She is learning from her foster fur siblings that being petted is a good thing. She is doing well on her house manners and is great going into a crate. Peanut is hoping for a forever family to love who will have the patience to continue to work with her and give her all the love she deserves.

If you would like to adopt Peanut, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Hailey
Hailey

Hailey is a sweet petite senior that came into rescue when her family could no longer provide for her. She had a rough ride at first as she was diagnosed with diabetes and it took a while to get her regulated. Hailey now takes insulin twice a day to keep her sugar levels under control. The shots are so easy to administer! Unfortunately, her diabetes caused her to lose her vision; however, she gets around like a champ and doesn't let it slow her down. She does have eye drops that are given daily, and her foster mom says she doesn't mind them or her insulin shots at all. Hailey loves to cuddle and sleep with her human, and doesn't mind the crate when needed. She also gets along great with her fur siblings, and is house trained. Hailey is truly the sweetest girl ever and can't wait to meet her forever family and continue to be spoiled rotten.

If you would like to adopt Hailey, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Sock
Sock
Sock

Sock is seven years old and came into rescue after a recent breeder release. She spent all of her life having puppies. She is a very sweet girl, but very shy as she barely had any human contact in her life prior to coming to us. She grows more self confident and friendly every day and loves to watch her foster fur sisters and brothers interact. She seems to be learning so much from them. She loves to sleep with her human and doesn't much care for her crate but will go in if necessary. Who can blame her! She was crated most of her life. Sock loves to lie on the sofa and watch television, but isn't much of a cuddler yet. Sock continues to grow more trusting of humans everyday and is looking for a forever family that will have lots of patience as she grows into the pug she was always meant to be.

If you would like to adopt Sock, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Marilyn
Marilyn

Marilyn is 13 and was surrendered by her family. The new baby made her nervous but Marilyn is as sweet as can be. She loves to follow you around and although she is a big girl she doesn't mind being in your lap. Marilyn is on a diet to regain her girlish figure so measuring her food intake is a must. She is a laid back girl but has moments when she will play with a toy, although she loses interest fast. She knows how to use a dog door and loves to sleep with her human if she can. It is hard to lose your family after 11 years but she has adjusted well and is hoping there is someone out there that would love to give this sweet senior a forever home. She is a very easy keeper but you must go out with her when she needs to potty. She doesn't like to be alone. Marilyn would prefer to be the only queen in her castle.

If you would like to adopt Marilyn, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.

Sammie
Sammie

Sammie is a handsome eight year old boy. He takes medication twice a day to control seizures. If he stays on his meds he is seizure free. Sammie was with us for almost a year and then was adopted. We thought we had found the perfect home for him but that wasn't the case. He was recently returned to us for no reason of his own. Sammie is one of the sweetest, most gentle boys we have ever had. He loves to be next to you on the sofa and he loves to give kisses. He is so deserving of a family of his own to love and we can't understand why he is back. Sammie just had a dental. He had some infected teeth and feels so much better and his kisses no longer knock you over. Sammie needs a quiet and peaceful environment to call his own and a family that will never turn their back on him again and will love him forever.

If you would like to adopt Sammie, be a Virtual Foster or just make a donation, contact us at homewardboundpugs@cox.net.
